NRD Therapy is situated in a quiet space in the Wyre Forest, in the town of Stourport-on-Severn Worcestershire. The space is secure, confidential and ideally situated for easy access.

I am a BACP Registered Counsellor, working in a person-centred way. I also hold a Masters Degree in Psychology. I have over five years experience working with bereavement and trauma and also have experience of training professionals at all levels. I also lecture part-time on several Counselling degree courses across the UK.

I work with adults of any age on an individual basis. Appointments are available both during the daytime as well as some availability on evenings and weekends.

What is counselling?
Deciding whether counselling is right for you is a difficult choice, which is why it is important to understand the process before deciding. Counselling is a form of 'talking therapy' which can provide a safe space for you to talk about any problems, feelings or life difficulties you may be facing. 

What is person centred counselling?
Person-centred Counselling is a humanistic approach in which the counsellor or psychotherapist works to understand an individual's experience from their point of view. The counsellor will work in a way which values you, with an aim to be open and genuine, in order to assist clients to better understand and connect with their own feelings and sense of self-worth.
What will happen in my first session?
On your first session, there will be an opportunity to discuss how the service works and what to expect from future sessions. This is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions and then decide whether you feel counselling is for you and whether you feel that this the right service for you. You will never be pressured to discuss anything you do not feel comfortable to explore, and the decision to continue or not will be entirely yours.
